Inside the Castle of Monteriggioni, founded in 1213, Monte Chiaro Organic Winery welcomes guests daily at our "Cantinetta". The Griccioli family has been the oldest private proprietor of the Castle since the year 1720. Each tasting experience demonstrates Monte Chiaro’s dedication to Chianti’s native, noble varietals such as Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera Toscana. You will discover the oldest room in the Castle and enjoy a light lunch expertly paired with two of our delicious wines. Your host will explain our rich history, culture and the terroir which leads to the creation of these spectacular wines. OUR LIGHT LUNCH INCLUDES: 1) Two glasses of organic wines, selected from our Rosè, Chianti's and award winning Super Tuscans. 2) A seasonal selection of cold cuts, fruit and a filled focaccia. **In case of unforeseen circumstances, an equivalent experience will take place at the Montechiaro Estate, Strada di Montechiaro 3 - Siena
